Established in 2018, the National Central University (NCU) Center for Astronautical Physics & Engineering (CAPE) is an interdisciplinary research center spanning multiple disciplines with a common interest in space related research and applications. Building on NCU’s 60-year heritage of space research, CAPE research is focused on space weather, earthquake precursor research, air pollution remote sensing, as well as the development of hardware, software, and support services to expand the utilization of space technology and platforms for scientific missions. The research promotes the development new space leadership talents in space environment exploration, low Earth orbit satellite communications, deep space and lunar capacity development, satellite remote sensing, space life science, and international collaborations.
